Our appointment system has now changed making it easier to book appointments. You no longer need to walk in to make an appointment and this is no longer available.
Patients told us that it was difficult to get an appointment, so we have introduced a new system which commenced on the 15t August 2016. After gaining feedback from both patients and staff members we have come up with a new diverse appointment system. This consists of face-to-face appointments, telephone triage as well as online appointments and advance bookings which can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.
Our reception staff will still ask for a few words about the problem which will help us to direct your problem through the correct pathway. You do not have to say but it will help us to serve you.
Please wait until after mid-morning for any routine requests such as repeat prescriptions.

Please Note - Telephone call backs can only be booked for Sick Notes and Medication Reviews.
- Dr Muralidhar is the only GP who still remains with the telephone triage system. He will be dealing with patients other than sick notes and medication reviews. Once the patient has received a call back from Dr Muralidhar, they will be offered an appointment to come and see him if needed.
Nurses based in our practice treat patients for a wide range of common conditions. You can expect to see a nurse within one working day and all of them are qualified to prescribe from a range of medicines. You can book up to a month ahead for clinics – please see the ‘clinics and services’ section.
Role of reception
Our receptionists are usually the first point of contact and are here to help you. They have a lot of information to hand and in most cases will be able to help with your enquiry, ensuring you see the most appropriate clinician. Nonetheless, it is your right to request to talk only to the doctor. Anything that is discussed with the receptionists or any other member of the team is treated in strict confidence. You have a right to be treated courteously, and our receptionists also have a right to be treated courteously by you. We can offer a degree of privacy at a separate reception booth (in a separate room) if your enquiry is sensitive. Please respect the privacy of other patients by standing well back from the reception desk until your turn.
